The new logo design draws inspiration from the advancement of technology, highlighting the shift towards a digitally transformed future. The rotating movement of the circular shapes symbolizes this transition to this future.
Logo Design
The modular typeface is created from the logo mark, and the entire typeface is made in the grid system as a skeleton. The typeface is used for overall identity to show solid brand visual language, even when the logo isn't visible.
Modular Typeface
Ars Electronica Typelab is a generative design tool created in Processing. By creating a rotating animated version of the letterforms with a typewriter, users can engage with the modular typography more interactively, allowing them to explore the different possibilities and configurations of the modular design.
Generative Design
The poster series shows the institute’s innovative approach to their immersive media and art. Layers of repetitive imagery evoke a sense of depth, symbolizing the vast array of data generated by cutting-edge technologies and artificial intelligence. This multi-layered approach enriches the visual narrative. The vivid and digital-inspired color delivers the vibrant energy of the technology.

The website was built for a wider audience for informative purposes. Users can easily navigate a wide range of the Institute’s contents throughout the page. I created a grid system using circles and lines to show a cohesive visual language.

Virtual Cosmos: Universal Everything
Virtual Cosmos is an hypothetical exhibition about Universal Everything in Ars Electronica Institute. Universal Everything is a digital art studio based in the UK that explores humanity, simulates natural phenomena, and examines the relationship between the physical and digital worlds. Universal Everything takes us on a journey through an imaginary universe of their own creation. The exhibition name refers to a collection of artworks that transport viewers into a virtual realm.
I've developed a modular typography inspired by the concept of morphing movement, drawing inspiration from how Universal Everything often crafts uniquely shaped organisms in their creations. The morphing typefaces can emulate their technique of breathing life into technology through dynamic design.
